The HKBA Boys Elite Team brings together some of HKBA’s most driven young players, with teams from U12–U17. Built for players ready to push themselves further, the program combines high-level training, competitive play, and opportunities to represent HKBA across Hong Kong and Asia.
From local competition to overseas tournaments and international basketball experiences, players have the opportunity to test themselves against new competition, experience different basketball environments, and take their game beyond Hong Kong.
At the heart of the program is competition, commitment, and brotherhood — creating a team culture where players push each other, compete for each other, and grow together on and off the court.

Put your training into action through local leagues, exhibition games, and competitive matchups against strong teams in Hong Kong.
GO BEYOND HONG KONG
Represent HKBA at tournaments and basketball events across Asia, giving players the opportunity to experience different styles of play and compete against teams from outside Hong Kong.
Through HKBA’s growing network of basketball organizations, tournaments, and international partners, players can gain access to additional events, experiences, and development opportunities.
THE EXPERIENCE
Being part of the Boys Elite Team is about more than what happens during practice. Players are expected to bring commitment, accountability, coachability, and a willingness to compete every time they step on court.
The program is built around:
- DEVELOPMENT: Continuing to improve as an individual player.
- COMPETITION: Learning to perform, adapt, and compete against strong opposition.
- TEAMWORK: Understanding that individual success comes from contributing to the team.
- CHARACTER: Building discipline, resilience, responsibility, and respect on and off the court.
- BROTHERHOOD: Creating strong connections between teammates through shared experiences, challenges, and competition.

HOW PLAYERS ARE SELECTED
The Boys Elite Team is invitation-only, with players primarily identified by HKBA coaches through our internal programs, particularly the Premier League. Selections are based on skill level, potential, commitment, coachability, and character, with coaches looking for players who are ready to take on the demands of a higher level of competition.
Opportunities may also be extended to players outside of HKBA where appropriate.
2026 HIGHLIGHTS
HKBA PITBULLS | HONG KONG OPEN LEAGUE
This season, the HKBA Pitbulls took on a new challenge in the Basketball Association of Hong Kong Open League, competing in a highly competitive adult division against more than 60 teams across Hong Kong. The team brought together HKBA coaches and top U20 Premier League players, showcasing the pathway from youth development to higher-level competition.
AUBL SCHOLARS SHOWCASE
Our U14 Elite Team travelled to Hangzhou for the inaugural AUBL Hoop Scholars Showcase, joining eight U14 programs from across Asia. Alongside competing against international teams, players took part in development clinics, watched university-level basketball, and experienced a unique environment connecting youth basketball with the next level of the game.
OVERSEAS TOURNAMENTS
Our Elite Teams have represented HKBA at tournaments across Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and beyond, giving players the chance to compete against international programs, experience different basketball environments, and represent Hong Kong on the regional stage.
