When you are looking for a basketball program for your student-athlete, we know there are plenty of choices. What you are looking for is a growth experience. Here at HKBA-Toronto, we achieve this through our designed "Player Development Pathway." It is essential to understand your child's current status and end goal and to develop their maximum potential both on and, off the court. Whether you are grooming a competitive athlete, or just beginning to learn the game — HKBA-Toronto is the place to bring out the best in your budding athlete. To our new members, we welcome you into our HKBA Family.

Advanced Level

At HKBA-Toronto, our aim in our advanced level is to elevate our student-athletes playing ability to become more successful in their school and club teams. In which, we believe will provide our student-athletes with a rewarding basketball and life experience.

The goal for our intermediate stage is for our student-athletes to achieve joining and competing in their school and club teams. Building on the beginner's stage, players will progress in developing the fundamental skills necessary to compete in controlled scrimmages and structured gameplay.

Our most popular development program consists of fundamental skill development and team concept training. The beginner level provides a positive and educational environment to help each of our students to become skilled in the fundamentals, understanding the meaning of teamwork, sportsmanship, being challenged in a competitive environment, all while having lots of fun playing recreational basketball.

Our Junior Fun-damentals program teaches young players the basics of basketball in a safe, structured, and fun environment. Junior's is tailored to teach the fundamentals of basketball through fun cooperative games aimed at developing skills such as hand-eye coordination, dribbling, passing and, shooting. Our adjustable hoops help us to achieve making learning basketball fun!

Coach Tony Ho

As an educator and coach, I believe that all students are different in terms of their qualities and capabilities. Each of them has their own needs and wants. I cannot assume that there is only one path to teaching them, I must treat them equitably so they may be equal to their peers. I take this approach because everyone deserves to be treated in a way that will help them achieve and succeed in the future.

Lawrence Lee - HKBA/Caltech Alumni

"I have been a member of numerous basketball teams as well as  participated in many top-level basketball camps. But I have never  trained under coaches capable of running a program like those at HKBA. They give every player the individual attention they deserve, regardless of age, physical build or talent. Besides improving my shooting, ball-handling, ability to attack the basket and my overall perimeter game, HKBA has built upon my athleticism, elevated my basketball IQ and  taught me how to be a leader."

Zong Z. - Parent

"HKBA has been so great to improve Eden's skill as a player, but more importantly has always encouraged and coached him in such a positive way that he loves playing basketball - with huge respect for  all the coaches."

Lily Hui - Parent

"I am glad to let you know that my daughter led her school basketball team to the best outcome by her school in competition. The credit mostly goes to the wonderful training by HKBA coaches which helped to bring up Ashley's skills tremendously, and that was recognized by all the parents."
